The current section contains all the information about the Horizon’s Cosmological Initial Conditions.
These ICs consist in 3 boxes with different sizes in order to cover the large range of scales involved in cosmology. All these boxes have been generated through the same production pipeline and in particular, they were produced from the same set of phases (or white noise). As a consequence, the different volumes share the same overall distribution of matter, even tough they differ in the details because of the scale dependence of the clustering and the physics.
Parameters & Cosmology
The transfer function follows the prescription given by Eisenstein & Hu . The cosmological parameters are the same for the 3 boxes and are summarized in the following table.
Parameter | value |
omega_m | 0.3 |
omega_v | 0.7 |
omega_b | 0.04 |
n | 1 |
h0 (km s-1 Mpc-1) | 70 |
Q-rms | 19.89 |
This prescription P(k) takes in account baryonic features such as wiggles and small scale damping.
Format and Structure
These files were generated with MP_GRAFIC and their structure follows the format used by GRAFIC. Additionnal information, on the software, the conversion or the file format can be found here, here and here.
